Rev. Fr. Ioannis Krokos
The Rev. Father loannis Krokos was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and grew up as a member of the Holy Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in Rochester, Minnesota.
From an early age father had a calling to serve the community as an Orthodox Priest. After receiving an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, he transferred to Hellenic College, Brookline, Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies. Studying at Hellenic College was a rewarding experience for Father; it helped him to better understand his Christian heritage and further focus his spirituality. While attending Holy Cross he traveled to Greece and took classes at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. While in Thessaloniki, he met his wife Presbytera Photini.
Father loannis was ordained to the diaconate on January 27th, 2008 and graduated from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Brookline, Massachusetts with a Masters of Divinity. He was elevated to the Priesthood on July 27th, 2008 and served the Greek community of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Tarpon Springs, Florida as an assistant priest; and presiding priest at Holy Trinity, Port Charlotte, Florida. Father looks forward to serving the St. George Greek Orthodox Community in Shreveport, Louisiana.
