2012 Southern Region Lenten Retreat
The 2012 Southern Region GOYA Lenten Retreat will be held March 30-April 1, 2012 at the Mo-Ranch Conference Center in Hunt, TX.
GOYAns, ages 11-18, are invited to retreat away from every day challenges for a weekend of growth and fellowship.

Saint John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival 2012
The 2012 Metropolis St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival will be held on the weekend of March 23-25, 2012 and be hosted by Transfiguration Parish in Austin, Texas.
The Saint John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival was established in 1983 by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese to provide teenagers with an opportunity to write and talk about their faith. The Oratorical Festival Program has two levels: a Junior Division for students in the 7th through 9th grades and a Senior Division for those in the 10th through 12th grades.
The top speakers in each division from the parishes advance to the Metropolis level, and the two division finalists represent the Metropolis in the Archdiocese Finals.
Parish finalists in the Metropolis of Denver travel to the host parish and participate in activities throughout the weekend, culminating with the delivery of their speeches before Metropolitan Isaiah, the other participants and their parents, and the judges.
The Archdiocese Department of Religious Education has issued a manual for use by parish and Metropolis Oratorical Festival chairmen, which assists in implementation and provides governance for the event.
